Message from
Eric Gregory (Board Chair)
Welcome to the Fall/Winter 2008 edition of the Prairie CCA e-newsletter!
I am very pleased and excited to be assuming the role of chair of the Prairie program for the next two
years. It is my intention to continue building on the success and recognition that the program has
earned, and deservedly so, since it was introduced. Of all the regional boards, the Prairies has a
reputation for being a leader when it comes to marketing of the designation, partnering with other
institutions to create quality and relevant training events and attracting an exceptional group of people who
volunteer their talents and personal time to make things happen.
In particular I would to thank
Norm Flore of Westco, now stepping down as past chair, for the significant contributions and insights he
has provided to meet the challenges of running such a program. Of course as people exit they are
replaced and last month, Albertans voted in a new representative in addition to our recent induction
of Dr. Tom Jensen of IPNI who will now be heading up the exam committee.
Best wishes for a successful and safe 2009!
Alberta Nomination for Provincial Rep
Jack Payne has completed his term and we have now completed the
process of electing a new individual to this role. An email election call was
sent out to all Alberta CCA's, with all submissions received by December
17, 2008. We are pleased to announce Ellen Anderson of Hanna,
Alberta as our next Alberta Provincial Rep.
Congratulations!
