Message from Lyle Cowell (Board Chair)

Welcome to the first edition of the Prairie CCA e-newsletter!

In our continued effort to ensure good communication with all CCAs, we have decided to save some trees, and provide more frequent and relevant news.  I also encourage each of you to look at each of the items and links with the newsletter.  For example, there are a significant number of new web based CEUs now on our web site.  We will continually add to these educational opportunities, so be sure to visit the PCCA web site frequently.  I also ask you to consider nominating a CCA of the Year.  This is a great recognition of a CCA that you may know that approaches the CCA role with enthusiasm and innovation.  Perhaps spend a few minutes today to consider a candidate that you know deserves recognition.

No Nominations for 2007
CCA of the Year

After years of stiff competition and the award being received by only a select few, the Prairie CCA board did not receive any nominations for 2007.  Despite this setback we are going forward with the 2008 campaign as we believe in the importance of highlighting the outstanding work being done and the careers being made in the agronomy industry ... not to mention the notoriety it has brought to our past winners.

In the fall we will be contacting you again with details on the nomination process, so in the meantime please give some serious thought on a candidate you might know and how you can be involved!
